Beginning on June 22, the city will begin water line replacement around the downtown square. The lines are old, dilapidated, and in bad need of repair/replacement. This will be a lengthy project, and will include the following:

4th Avenue and Main Street going west to 4th Avenue and Oak Street

4th Avenue and Oak Street going south to 5th Avenue and Oak Street

5th Avenue and Oak Street going east to 5th Avenue and Main Street.

Beginning June 15, crews will start locating lines, and cutting roads where the digging will take place. there will be large equipment, trucks, and workers moving in and out, so please drive slowly, and with caution in these areas.

The project will affect parking areas, and cones will be placed in those areas. Please do not park or move the cones in those areas.

We understand this will be an inconvenience, however, this is a much needed infrastructure update, and we appreciate your patience while work is being done. Please contact City Hall if you have questions or concerns.
