The City of Garnett is in the beginning stages of drafting a new Comprehensive Plan, which will be a vision for the future. The current plan was written in 1993, and it is time to update it. Town Hall meetings will be held on Wednesday, March 11, and Thursday March 12, 2026, at the Anderson County Community Building at North Lake Park. The public is invited to join the meetings. Your input is vital to this plan, as it is a plan for the community's future as a whole, and we want to hear from YOU! Please take time to take the survey, and share your vision of what Garnett could look like twenty or twenty-five years from now. We look forward to working with you on a better future for our city! Invitation cards were mailed to citizens, with a QR code to take the survey. Paper copies of the survey are available at City Hall, and we encourage you to pick one up and fill it out, or take one to someone who is unable to do the online survey or can't get out to pick up a paper copy. Every citizen's voice matters.
